Privacy Policy
Think of this site as a signpost rather than a shop. Nothing is sold here, no card is ever charged and no walker is booked through these pages. The 37 free walking tours described are all operated by independent local guides, and a reservation is made on GuruWalk, or on freetour.com for the walks listed there. Because nothing transactional takes place on this site, the information it can collect is limited. This page states plainly what that is, and what shifts the moment you click away to a guide's own page.
Data Collected During A Visit
There is no form to fill in anywhere on this site. Reserving a free spot means going to GuruWalk, or to freetour.com for its listed walks, and anything entered there, a name, an email address, stays on that platform. It does not come back here. What is left is the ordinary technical record a browser makes of any web page it opens.
Cookies And Analytics
Basic cookies can register that a page was opened. They carry no name and no personal identity. No advertising profile gets built, and no visitor is followed across sessions. Any analytics that run count pages as anonymous totals, showing what gets read and nothing about who read it.
The Plain Answer
- This site never asks who you are. No forms, no sign-in, no payment details pass through it, because nothing is bought or reserved here.
- Each of the 37 walks costs nothing upfront: you reserve it and tip the guide on GuruWalk or freetour.com, whose privacy terms then apply.
- Links to walks are affiliate links. If you reserve a walk after clicking one, GuruWalk or freetour.com pays this site a fee, and you pay nothing extra.
- Cookie settings sit in your browser and can be changed whenever you want, and this site reads email at the address in its footer for any question you send.
Your Choices
What little data touches this site stays yours to manage. Any browser lets you block or clear cookies, and doing that keeps every page here readable: the free-entry facts, the walk pages, everything published. Reserving a walk is a separate step taken on GuruWalk or freetour.com, and an account created there belongs to you alone, to close whenever you choose.
Questions and correction requests about anything on this page go to the email address in the footer, and a walk's own details are best asked of the person running it. For the meeting point, the language or anything else about a specific walk, write to the guide on their GuruWalk page or their freetour.com listing: they operate the walk themselves, and this site takes no bookings and runs nothing.
